Artist -John Montich
JOHN MONTICH is a nationally recognized fine art photographer. Discovering the horizon-less landscape early in his career started his fascination with abstraction, images that bend the ideas of object, scale and perspective while still evoking a small part of the representational. It also changed the way he looked at his representational work. Narrowing his vision to a closer point of view became his style. Large objects, even buildings, are described by a distinct feature. Everyday ephemera are photographed with a minimum of background. This is especially true for the way he photographs his favorite subject: cars. The Petersen has several of his photographs in their collection.
